We regularly expand our thinking on go-to-market planning and market entry, and we invite outside voices to challenge and widen our own views. Good strategy comes from open exchange, and that habit shapes how we work together.

The Consultants We Bring On

We hire consultants and analysts who have worked on go-to-market strategy, market entry or global expansion projects, whether at home in the United States or across international borders. Many of those who join us have seen firsthand how difficult it can be to bring a regional partner into an existing operational pipeline.

Qualities We Value

We look for people who have weighed regulatory and geopolitical risk on a live entry decision, and who take the time to study local demographics before recommending a move into a new market. Above all, Team Leap values consultants who can protect a client's established partnerships while helping that business grow into new regions.

Four values shape how we work with clients and with each other:

Curiosity.

You ask why a market behaves the way it does before deciding what to do about it, and you keep asking when the first answer looks convenient.

Accountability.

You own your analysis and what follows from it. If a recommendation does not hold up in the market, you say so first and help fix it.

Humility.

You listen to the people on the ground, from local buyers to a client’s regional partners, because they often know something the research does not.

Ambition.

You want the companies we work with to grow, and you want to grow with them, taking on more responsibility as you prove yourself.

Open Vacancies

Market Analyst

New York (hybrid, three days a week in the office) · Full-time · Reports to an Engagement Manager · Salary $80,000–$100,000 plus annual bonus

Market Analysts build the evidence our recommendations rest on. You will research the markets our clients are considering, from demand and competition to regulation and local buying behavior, and turn what you find into clear, sourced analysis that senior consultants and client leadership can act on.

What you will do

  • Size and segment target markets using desk research and trade data as well as client information
  • Build competitor and pricing overviews for each market in scope
  • Prepare regulatory and policy scans for review with our consultants and the client's advisers
  • Help plan and run buyer and partner interviews, and synthesize what they reveal
  • Turn research into charts, briefing notes, presentations and slides that are accurate, sourced and easy to follow
  • Keep engagement research organized so findings can be reused across markets and projects

What you will bring

  • One to three years in market research, strategy consulting, corporate strategy or a commercial analytics role
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with incomplete or inconsistent data
  • Writing that gets a finding across in a few lines, and the instinct to drop research that is interesting but does not change the decision
  • Curiosity about how markets differ, and the discipline to check assumptions against evidence
  • A second language or experience living or working outside the United States is valued but not required

Strategic Analyst

New York (hybrid, three days a week in the office) · Full-time · Reports to a Principal · Salary $100,000–$130,000 plus annual bonus

Strategic Analysts turn research into recommendations. You will own workstreams within client engagements, shape go-to-market, market entry and expansion plans with our senior consultants, and work directly with client teams to make sure those plans can be carried out.

What you will do

  • Own defined workstreams on client engagements, from scoping the analysis to presenting the findings
  • Build business cases, entry options and investment scenarios for leadership and board review
  • Map how new regional partners will connect to a client's existing sales, fulfillment and reporting processes
  • Develop positioning, proposition and launch plans with senior consultants and client teams
  • Facilitate client workshops and decision meetings, and keep actions moving between them
  • Guide the work of Market Analysts and check every figure and source before it reaches a client

What you will bring

  • Three to five years in strategy consulting, corporate development, commercial strategy or international business development
  • Direct involvement in at least one market entry, launch or expansion project, domestic or international
  • Strong financial and commercial modeling skills
  • Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and handling challenge on your recommendations
  • First-hand experience of how regulation or political risk changed an entry plan, and the patience to understand local conditions before recommending a move
